As America’s combat logistics support agency, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provides the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, other federal agencies, and combined and allied forces with the full spectrum of logistics, acquisition and technical services America’s military forces need to operate.
Specific activities ISI performed included:
- The U.S. Defense Logistic Agency (DLA) is responsible for design and development of Conveyance Control System (CSS) as part of the U.S. Navy Transportation System. The CCS monitors the vehicular movement between the depots to record and process material received, track vehicular movement, manage dispositioning of material received, approve, create and print individual freight vouchers.
- ISI supported the U.S. Defense Logistic Agency in developing the CCS Project. The CCS Project uses TI’s I-CASE tool, IEF. ISI provided Business System Design (BSD), Construction and Testing for both On-line and Batch Procedures. In addition, ISI also provided Encyclopedia Management and CICS Production Migration support. The target environment is MVS CICS/DB2. The CCS Data Model has about 30 entity types.
