Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

ISI staff developed the Digital Video Logging Viewer (DVLV) that captures, stores, checks, integrates, manipulates, and analyzes data used for displaying data related to positions on the Earth's surface.

DelDOT uses this system for analysis purposes on DelDOT assets: Maps represented as several different layers where each layer holds data about a particular kind of feature, such as a bridge, traffic signal, roadway, or traffic sign. Each feature is linked to a position on the graphical image on a map and a record in an attribute table.

ISI team has the responsibility to analyze various types of features and their attributes and provide users with an interactive map enabled application.
